After the extension of my contract with Price Rubin & Partners by the end of this October, I found a strange chance to find Premio Vincenzo Terenzio Concorso Musicale Internazionale Città di Cerignola from Germany. Immediately, I began the preparation for this competition at the same time of my recent concert programs and came to Cerignola.

Premio Vincenzo Terenzio had two venues ; Teatro Mercadante and Sporting Club (which had a real auditorium by a nice pool). The rehearsal began in the evening of the first day. There, I had enough time to be relaxed and ready to play my turn at the auditorium of Sporting Club. As the result of this time, I had been awarded the Second Prize and Premio Intercultura / Intercultural Prize, and informed to perform an unaccompanied violin solo piece in 3 minutes maximum on the Winners Concert at Teatro Mercadante in the evening with wearing formal concert costume. I told them my program choice for the evening concert immediately and we agreed each other on the same stage in front of all of the Audience. Here's the program ;

Concerto dei Vincitori (Competition Winners Concert) del Premio Vincenzo Terenzio Concorso Musicale Internazionale Città di Cerignola (08 December 2017, Teatro Mercadante, Cerignola FG Italy)

Johann Sebastian Bach ; Giga in d minor from Partita No. 2 BWV1004

Naoko Matsui alias Goryo Goryokaku, Violin (unaccompanied Violin Solo)

Another pianist winner was ultra-exciting after the result announcements and began the competition narration on the streets. There was so many people on the way to Teatro Mercadante who was greatly expecting the Winners Concert at Teatro Mercadante in a festival sensation to jeer me for example ;

"Alucard !"

"Hey, Alucard !"

"Alucard, vai al Teatro !"

"Alucard va suonare stasera a Mercadante !"

etc.

I heard that there was an audience of 376 at the Winners Concert. During waiting my turn, I was always talking with the Secretary of the Competition or the Concert Progressor by the stage (!) ;

"Scusa, quando suonerò io ?"

"Ti chiama, ti chiama !"

poco dopo ;

"Scusa, quando suonerò io ?"

"Quando ti chiama !!!"

und so weiter.

Finally, I had been called on the stage to play Giga by Bach after the introduction of Premio Intercultura (Intercultural Prize).

"Bravo !"

"Bravo !!"

The stage of Teatro Mercadante was really comfortable to play within its acoustics and the thunderous applauses with shouts rushed me on the stage twice because I had been called on the stage again in the end of the concert.

After the end of the concert, a man who introduced himself to me as the son of Vincenzo Terenzio and asked me how I found Premio Vincenzo Terenzio. I replied him honestly and normally in the most warmful appreciation to my concert even in front of the Teatro, but only he seemed to be shuddered on my answer, I don't know why.
